How do I give Claude or ChatGPT access to my Entrata data?
Billing that is due, set against billing that was paid, asked in plain language.
Claude or ChatGPT can answer from your Entrata data through Propexo MCP, which reads it from a warehouse you own. Connect, a separate Propexo product, keeps that warehouse loaded from Entrata, so the AI tool never connects to Entrata itself.
Connect authenticates to Entrata with your API key and company ID and loads leases, lease activity, scheduled charges, residents and AR transactions into the warehouse. Loads can be incremental or a full refresh, on a schedule you configure.
What can an AI tool see in your Entrata data?
Lease activity loads apart from the leases themselves, and scheduled charges load apart from AR transactions and payments.
Unit spaces carry their pricing, so asking rent on a vacant space can be set against rents on recently signed leases.
What Connect loads from Entrata
- properties
- units
- unit spaces & pricing
- leases
- lease activity
- scheduled charges
- residents
- AR transactions & payments
Sync modes and destinations are on the Entrata integration page. How answers are scoped and traced is on the Propexo MCP page.
How do I set it up for Entrata?
-
Load your Entrata data into your warehouse
Give Connect your Entrata API key and company ID. After the first sync into your warehouse, whether that is Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or another supported destination, the warehouse stays current on the schedule you set.
-
Set your definitions in Data Map
Propexo MCP requires Data Map, which holds one agreed definition of each metric and is how those definitions reach the AI tool. The questions MCP answers are approved with you at the same time. Who may ask, and about which properties, is set in your warehouse's own access controls.
-
Point your AI tool at Propexo MCP
Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or any other tool that speaks MCP can carry the connection, which is set up with you once the questions are agreed. Each answer names its definition and the system it came from, and a figure can be traced back to the Entrata record behind it.
What can my team ask about Entrata data?
- Which leases had activity this week, by property?
- What is scheduled to bill next month, and how does it compare with this month?
- How long have the open AR balances been outstanding, resident by resident?
- Where does asking rent on vacant unit spaces sit against leases signed in the last thirty days?
Frequently asked questions
Is there an MCP server for Entrata?
Yes. Propexo MCP is one, and it serves the questions you approved, not open access to Entrata.
Do I need Data Map as well?
Yes. Propexo MCP requires Data Map, because the standardized metric definitions every answer uses live in Data Map, and that is how they reach the AI tool.
Which Entrata data can the AI tool see?
Properties, units, unit spaces and pricing, leases, lease activity, scheduled charges, residents, and AR transactions and payments.
Is the answer up to date?
As current as the last sync. Entrata data can load incrementally, so each run picks up what changed since the one before.
How is this different from an AI assistant inside Entrata?
An assistant inside Entrata answers from Entrata. Propexo MCP answers from your warehouse, so one question can draw on Entrata and the other systems you connect, with one definition of each metric.
Can the AI tool change anything in Entrata?
No. Propexo MCP is read-only and writes nothing back to Entrata.
